Brew Hoop Night Shift: December 24th, 2017

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Today’s (on)topic: Christmas Day Games

Honestly, the only one of these games that moves the needle for me is Rockets/Thunder. The 76ers are Embiid-less, so not being able to watch Kristaps Porzingis take him to school is the opposite of a Christmas miracle. I suffer from Cavaliers/Warriors fatigue, so I’ll pass on that one. The Wizards/Celtics is an interesting match-up but that’s right when my family festivities start, so I’ll be missing it. Having the Timberwolves and Lakers as a Christmas Day game is a dang crime. Where are the Toronto Raptors? The San Antonio Spurs? Heck, where are the Bucks?

Today’s (off)topic: Favorite Christmas Movie

This is always a tough call because Christmas Vacation is an absolute classic and has aged very well throughout the years. On the other hand, I have a nostalgic soft spot in my heart for the Arnold Schwarzenegger/Sinbad cinematic masterpiece, Jingle All the Way. I struggle to categorize Die Hard, Gremlins, and Home Alone as Christmas movies, since Christmas is used more as a setting and not as a central part of those stories. So, which Christmas Movie is your favorite?
