Brew Hoop Night Shift: December 7th, 2017

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Today’s (on)topic: 76ers-Nets Trade

All three players involved in this trade are on expiring deals and I really can’t remember that happening recently. If none of the three players re-sign with their new teams, the Philadelphia 76ers basically gave away a second round pick to the Brooklyn Nets in the name of creating a positive locker room environment.

This feels like such a blah trade for me because none of the three players involved will move the needle with their new teams. Jahlil Okafor could find some success with consistent playing time, but I’m not too keen on his development. It’s weird that the Nets have the second (De’Angelo Russell) and third (Okafor) picks in the 2015 draft on their roster now. Imagine going back to that draft night and telling yourself that—I’m not sure I would have believed it.

Today’s (off)topic: Frozen Pizza

I started out my life eating Tombstone and then when I was in high school I made the switch on over to Orv’s. While in college I couldn’t find any Orv’s, so I had to settle for Jack’s, which is okay. I have been back in Orv’s territory for the past 13 months and I have been gobbling them up ever since. Their not-so-high-quality cheese is perfect for my lactose intolerant insides. Thanks Orv’s! Which frozen pizza is your favorite?
