2016-17 Milwaukee Bucks Best Moment Bracket Championship

Help decide what will be crowned as the best moment of this past season

This is it folks. The poll to decide all polls. Decision 2017, where you choose what was the seminal Bucks moment of this past season. Some of our dearest memories have slipped into the pensieve in the process, and it’s a testament to this past year that Milwaukee had such a bounty of memorable times to latch onto. Giannis’ freakish dunks, his equally cinematic game winner, Brogdon yamming on the King, Moose playing Pictionary. Yet through it all, we’ve finally arrived at our last contest. Following a narrow victory yesterday of Milwaukee’s March over Giannis’ game winner, it will be the Game Three win over Toronto against the Bucks’ staggeringly successful March for the definitive moment of Milwaukee's season.

Toronto Game Three Win vs. Milwaukee’s March

Both of these draw on team victories, supplanting the individual achievements that littered the rest of this bracket. In the end, it comes down to whether someone values a sustained level of success in the regular season, or a dominating victory under the pressure-packed lights of the postseason. Then again, the latter couldn’t have happened without the former, so there’s a bit of a paradox there if one wishes to go down that winding road.

Personally, I’ll peg my vote for the Toronto Game Three win. I can’t remember feeling much more optimism for this franchise than in that moment, and throughout the March success, I couldn’t help but feel some of it was a progression to the mean from their horrendous clutch statistics to start the season. Whatever your thoughts on the March ascent, spanking a hapless Toronto squad created a genuine sense that Milwaukee could potentially win its first playoff series since 2001.

Now, that obviously wasn’t how events have transpired, but this season feels best encapsulated by those brief flashes of hope. The idea that GIannis could become a superstar. The glimpses of Thon as the valuable stretch big Milwaukee needed. The potential changing of the guard in the East. All of this culminated in that titanic teardown of Toronto, and I can’t think of a better moment to define this past season.

Thanks for following along and participating throughout this lengthy process! Let us know if you disagree with the final verdict, and supply your own opinion on what was indeed, the best moment of this past season.
