2016-17 Milawukee Bucks Best Moment Bracket Day 4: Viral Videos

Can Brogdon’s monster dunks top Giannis’ fake threat to his teammate

NBA: Milwaukee Bucks at Cleveland Cavaliers Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

We opened up voting on the best of Milwaukee’s viral videos from this past season yesterday. Get in there and decide whether Thon Maker’s crossover or Jason Terry’s scorers table celebration was superior. Today we introduce our last two finalists from the viral video category:

Brogdon’s Celebrity Dunk List vs. Giannis Threatening to Punch Thon

Malcolm Brogdon seems like a courteous man. Did you know he even had his Master’s already (sarcasm alert)? His oncourt demeanor is one of a yeoman tending to his fields, plowing away until the job is done. Well, little did we know Brogdon had a penchant for jamming over reputable All-Stars with a surprising burst to the lane. First, there was his disregard for the strength of Kyrie Irving’s wrist:

As if that wasn’t enough, Brogdon followed that up by catching the King asleep on the throne and putting one over Lebron James mammoth frame:

Maybe the best part of that last dunk was his complete befuddlement that he even jammed it over Lebron. Here’s what Brogdon had to say after the game about that dunk:

“It felt good. You know I wasn’t paying attention to who it was, um, honestly if I had looked and saw it was Lebron I might have not even gone up. But, you know, he happened to be there.”

He did follow that up by saying it felt cool but it didn’t really matter since Cleveland got the win. Great job of moving the conversation back to the party line talking points, quite presidential of him.

Our other selection is twofold. It starts with the Bucks spectacular comeback win against the Detroit Pistons where Giannis and Thon combined down the stretch for their most meaningful tandem time of the season. Thon scored a season-high 23 points that night, and generally hit big shots throughout clutch time. That in itself could’ve been a viral moment, and lets plug those highlights in just to refresh our memories (all right I really just wanted an excuse to watch it again).

This guy was knocking down no hesitation threes from the corner in crunch time. Thank goodness he didn’t linger with that shot either, as Giannis delivered the truly memorable moment with his quote afterwards threatening to punch Thon should he hesitate:

HR implications inside, Giannis flashed a bit of his leadership qualities within that quote. Clearly he wants to get the best from Thon, and he certainly did on that night, even without resorting to violence.

What was better, Brogdon’s dizzying dunks or Giannis’ friendly threat? Let us know in the poll below:
