Over the course of this week, the Milwaukee Bucks have had a busy start to the offseason, and we plan on making sure we address as much of it as we can.

One non-Bucks item that deserves special mention is the announcement that Bucks beat writer Charles Gardner is leaving the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Some of Brew Hoop’s notable alumni shared their stories about interacting with Charles over the course of the years, and nobody has had anything but the best to say about him, both as a reporter and as a person. Frank Madden and Eric Nehm’s conversation about Eric’s experience meeting and working with Charles is a must-listen for any Bucks fan.

For myself, I was never lucky enough to cover a Bucks game, much less meet Charles Gardner. But I can remember that I looked forward to reading anything under his byline every time I got my hands on a copy of the Journal Sentinel. He was always able to portray the Bucks in a way that made sense to me, and informed my perspective on what the team was in the larger scope of the NBA.

All the best, Charles! We hope to read more of your work sometime!
