It feels like just yesterday Milwaukee was toppled in their postseason finale against Toronto. That furious comeback firmly in our rearview mirror, it’s time to turn our sights towards the impending year, and take a peek at the young talent that we’ll be acquainting ourselves with over these next few months. Today is the first game of Milwaukee’s Summer League stretch, and they’ll be taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers at 5:30 PM.
Bucks Player to Watch
D.J. Wilson will be making his debut in Milwaukee uniform, and the first round pick should have a fine opportunity to make his mark next to Thon Maker at center. I’ll be curious whether fresh young coach Broghamer gets crafty and tries out Wilson as a smallball center for a stretch at all. Summer league can be a pretty murky petri dish at times, why not try something fun.
Unfortunately, it sounds like we won’t be able to watch recently acquired Sterling Brown, who Matt Velazquez reports is with the team but won’t be able to play until he’s signed a contract with the team.
Sterling Brown, acquired by the Bucks today, is in Vegas for summer league. He won't play until he signs a contract with Milwaukee, though.

That’s a change from past years, when guys played in summer league even without a contract.
Note from @Matt_Velazquez story: Sterling Brown won't play in Vegas until deal signed. Recent Bucks 2nd picks all played in Vegas w/o one.

Cavs Player to Watch
Kay Felder I guess? The dimunitive, stocky point guard played sparingly for the Cavaliers after the first few months of the season, but people were relatively high on his potential as a backup PG despite being a later second round pick. If that sounds too boring, former Buck Sam Cassell’s kid is also on the squad.
Here’s a complete stab in the dark at the starting lineups for tonight’s game, along with the usual broadcast info. Happy return to game thread commenting!
