Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.
Today’s (on)topic: The Ringer’s Preview
2017-18 NBA Team Preview: Milwaukee Bucks. #ownthefuture pic.twitter.com/EyZnTWWsl3

Fellow Voxite (Voxian, Voxigon?), The Ringer, began their NBA previews this week and the Bucks got the nod today. The article does a good job of summarizing what most of us already know about the franchise’s standing today and what that standing could be in the future. The quote that jumped out at me the most was:
The Bucks are simultaneously on the verge of relevance and on the brink of disaster.
This is a very true statement and one that our very own, Mitchell Maurer, has been expertly delving into with the Crossroads pieces (the latest of which can be read here). The Bucks are obviously relevant within the division and gaining more relevance in the Eastern Conference, but this past off-season, as well next year’s, are proving to be ones that will shape this era of the franchise’s history.
Today’s (off)topic: DIY Projects
I love a good HGTV program as much as the next person but I cannot summon the energy to tackle a DIY project no matter how small. Other than basic plumbing and landscaping I am not the handiest person to have around. Any one wrapping up summer DIY projects or gearing up for some fall projects?
As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
