Brew Hoop Night Shift: September 21st, 2017

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Today’s (on)topic: Bucks Chucks

The Milwaukee Bucks dropped these little puppies on us today, saying that release info should be trickling out next Friday. Now, I’m not necessarily partial to Chuck Taylors, I’ve never worn nor owned a pair in my life, but I actually don’t mind these. I’m particularly a fan of that deep forest green base color, but the cutoff Milwaukee that looks like a serpent diving into the sole is a little gaudy for me. I kinda wish they had just one of the Bucks logos subtly placed on the exterior of the shoe opposite the Chuck Taylor insignias on the inside. Still, as someone who never got into wearing or collecting the outrageous amount of basketball shoes out there, I’d love to see the NBA get integrated into more *fashionable* footwear.

Today’s (off)topic: Homemade Pizza Crust vs. Store Bought

For a long time to try and simulate the deliciousness of a Papa Murphy’s, I would buy my own pre-made pizza crusts from the store and lather on the toppings. Unfortunately, those things seemed to run a pretty penny, and I wanted a relatively cheaper option that wasn’t Jacks (don’t diss Jacks though, there’s no better frozen pizza), so I started making my own crust. It’s not too time consuming, and I’ve found it to be a very price-effective way to get a giant pan of dough, cheese and toppings in my belly. What’s your preferred way of getting that homemade pizza taste?

As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
