Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.
Tonight’s (on)topic: All-Star Game Draft

Oh my goodness LeBron James actually drafted Kyrie Irving. Not only did he draft his former teammate, but he also drafted former teammates, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. I would venture a guess that LeBron picked Durant first, forcing Stephen Curry to select Giannis Antetokounmpo second. The pairing of Giannis and Joel Embiid will be fun and pairing Embiid with Draymond Green is a trash talking super team. Curry was one Kristaps Porzingis away from having all the “unicorns” to himself.
I am honestly surprise that leaks have not come out about when players were selected. All we were treated to were Instagram stories from James and Curry showing blank roster sheets.
I really wish this thing was televised.
Tonight’s (off)topic: Winter Olympics
Hey the Winter Olympics are almost upon us! If you’re like me, you probably forgot about that. The games are being hosted in PyeongChang, South Korea which I’m assuming means United States viewers will see the events on a tape delay, similar to the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing, China. My favorite winter sport to watch, other than hockey, is ski jumping. That has to be the most terrifying experience. Purposefully launching yourself hundreds of feet in the air with only slim, wooden slabs keeping you upright is bonkers to me. Which winter sport are you excited for?
As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
