Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? The answer is the former in this case, as the first All-Star voting returns have Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the ENTIRE FREAKIN’ NBA. Not just among East frontcourt players. Not just among all Eastern Conference players. Among the entire NBA. Fan-voting certainly isn’t an exact science to determine a player’s quality, but the fact Giannis is even beating out the likes of Lebron James and Kevin Durant was enough to make my eyes bulge a bit.
Bucks forward @Giannis_An34 is the leading East All-Star vote-getter at the moment while @KDTrey5 is the leader in the West. The leading vote-getter in each conference will choose the All-Star rosters of both teams. First fan ballot results below: pic.twitter.com/sGzd9FTqGJ

No other Buck appears in the top ten for guards or frontcourt players, certainly a blow to the potential for Eric Bledsoe or Khris Middleton’s campaign, but Giannis topping the entire charts probably makes up for it in Bucks’ fans eyes. Giannis’ election to the starting lineup last year broke the Bucks’ 13-year streak of no All-Stars and his ascendance shows no sign of stopping. The marketability of Giannis continues to skyrocket alongside his play. There’s not much more we can take away from this news in a basketball sense, but man it feels good to come out on top sometimes. Let’s keep the good vibes rolling with a win over the Raptors tonight.
