With the preseason nearing its end and meaningful basketball less than a week away, The Brew Hoop Podcast is back to tackle what the two games we’ve seen thus far may portend for the Milwaukee Bucks this season. While only one meaningful glimpse of the starting lineup tantalized folks, there’s still plenty to sort out, including who will benefit most from Bud’s much-improved offensive system in Milwaukee.
After that, we chat about the tussle for the fifteenth roster spot. In what’s become a three Buck race in our eyes, Tyler Zeller, fan favorite Christian Wood and Tim Frazier all showcased their skills in Tuesday’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Does Wood indeed seem to be the man for the job as has been alluded to in reports, or could Zeller’s reliability mean he sticks around. Maybe two of them could remain in Cream City, if D.J. Wilson somehow finds his NBA time here come to an abrupt end.
Finally, we dive into some lingering questions surrounding the team before heading into the regular season next week. Is relying on Brook Lopez and Ersan Ilyasova problematic in any way? Where does Tony Snell fit into Bud’s rotation? Is the hype careening off the tracks or should the conductor shovel in another pound of coal and shout choo-choo. All that, plus a Jimmy Butler open floor to round it out.
As always, thank you so much for listening, we really appreciate that (and a subscribe/review left on iTunes if you’re so inclined) and feel free to leave your response to our discussion in the comments below.
