It’s a shame that the aforementioned video might be the pinnacle of Shabazz Muhammad‘s accomplishments in relation to the Milwaukee Bucks, but after today’s announcement that just might be reality.
Bucks have requested waivers on Shabazz Muhammad. Takes the roster crunch down by one.

The 15th roster spot has been widely discussed on Bucks Twitter, but the consensus is that Christian Wood is the front runner, Tyler Zeller is the popular second choice, and Tim Frazier is left on the outside looking in. As we discussed on the newest episode of the Brew Hoop Podcast, it’s within the realm of possibility that both Wood and Zeller get to stick around, if a certain 2017 first round pick is removed from the equation.
But nowhere in any conversations was it suggested that Shabazz Muhammad was anywhere but fourth place. He was once a highly-touted prospect coming out of high school, and his bully-ball tendencies do sometimes result in impressive scoring outputs. But his inability to shoot, unwillingness to pass, and general defensive ineptitude make it difficult to justify a roster spot for him, much less actual NBA playing time.
So farewell, Shabazz. We’ll always have your per-36 scoring stats from the 2017-18 season, and that one half of basketball in the playoffs against the Boston Celtics.
