Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.
Tonight’s (on)topic: All-Star Game Bid
The @NBAAllStar bid is in!!

Here's to hosting the 2022/23 @NBA All-Star Weekend in the Cream City!! pic.twitter.com/ORHlkdONJH
The Bucks tossed their hats in the ring to be the host city of either the 2022 or 2023 All-Star Weekend festivities. Their competitors so far are Boston, Sacramento, and Salt Lake City. Of those three, Boston is the only city to not submit a bid for 2023. I really would not be surprised if Boston landed the ‘22 Weekend since that is their lone bid.
Between Milwaukee, Sacramento, and Salt Lake City I objectively think Milwaukee would win out over those three. Salt Lake has no night life, so they’re out, and Sacramento is trying to capitalize on that Lady Bird buzz. In all honesty, I think Sacramento has a legit chance to usurp Milwaukee though. The California capital has a shiny, new arena and a growing urban sprawl. I’m going to start stoking this Milwaukee/Sacramento rivalry right now.
Tonight’s (off)topic: What’s Your Favorite Smell?
Smells are the strongest triggers to memories and it’s one of those things that I never realize which smells trigger memories until I am actually smelling the smell. As far as my favorite smell, it would have to be fresh cut grass. It’s a great smell on its own and it also helps me remember summers in high school helping my dad with his landscaping business. So, what’s your favorite smell?
As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
