Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.
Tonight’s (on) topic: Keys to the Car
You've got the keys to the #Bucks franchise, what is the first move you are making? pic.twitter.com/WI6FberWO2

Time to throw on the NBA 2K hat for a moment here. The first move that I am making if allowed to make any move for the franchise?
I go after the best possible head coach regardless of availability. Hey Gregg Popovich, I know you have an unnecessary second “g” at the end of your name, but how about you come to another small market team and leave the national media frenzy the San Antonio Spurs have become for the quiet (at least nationally), rocky shores of Milwaukee?
How do I land Pop? I wine and dine him. We spend a lovely evening chit-chatting about geopolitics and sip on some fine wine at Balzac on Brady Street. After we finish whichever bottle he picked out, I convince him to partake in a quintessential Milwaukee tradition. We exit Balzac down Arlington, turn left onto Pulaski, and as we turn the corner, Pop lays his eyes on Wolski’s. We go in and he becomes enamored with the place. We eat popcorn while he samples Milwaukee’s local beer roster. Closing time approaches, and as Pop heads for the exit, he is handed what he would later claim to be, “the thing that clinched his move to Milwaukee.” That’s right, Pop becomes the proud owner of an “I closed Wolski’s” sticker and the trajectory of Bucks basketball is forever altered.
Landing Pop is a big splash, makes the team immediate contenders, should (maybe) help in negotiations with Jabari Parker, and would make the jobs of media folks a lot more fun.
What move are you making?
Tonight’s (off) topic: Car Shopping
I’m about to buy a car in the coming weeks and with that comes saying good-bye to my first car: a silver 2006 Chevy Malibu. So much fun has been had since first driving it as a high school junior. Time after time it reliably took me from my hometown (what up A-Town) to the University of Iowa and back. It started out with four hubcaps but now only retains one.
It’s greatest performance would be the 2015/16 season. We went from Illinois to the Rocky Mountains, the Rocky Mountains to Las Vegas, Las Vegas to Los Angeles, Los Angeles to Monterey Bay (and back), Los Angeles to Las Cruces, Las Cruces to Austin, Austin to Tucson, Tucson back to Los Angeles, Los Angeles back to the Rocky Mountains, the Rocky Mountains back to Illinois, and finally, Illinois to its final resting place, Milwaukee.
Thank you Malibu Lou.
What kind of memories were made in your first car?
As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
