Basketball Hall of Fame/Favorite Pepper

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Tonight’s (on) topic: Basketball Hall of Fame

Hey a familiar name! Congrats to that trio for living on in basketball lore for generations to come.

Of the three inductees, I have the most memories of Steve Nash. His time on the Phoenix Suns came when I was in middle school and of course everyone on the middle school basketball team thought they were Nash because he was a shorter, white guy, and we were a team of, well, shorter white guys.

I wish I had memories of Grant Hill playing, but the only action of Hill’s I remember comes from highlight reels and ESPN Classic re-runs. I think my strongest Grant Hill related memory is constantly seeing that retro Detroit Pistons jersey with Hill’s name and number on it up for sale on the internet.

How do we feel about the new Hall of Famers?

Tonight’s (off) topic: Favorite Pepper

My dad had a pepper garden when I was growing up and I grew accustomed to a variety of pepper flavors, hotness, and texture. I love love love the jalapeno pepper. It’s the best pepper out there. For when I want a peppery crunch but not the heat, I turn to the reliable banana pepper. My favorite scenario-specific pepper is the pepper that comes in Papa John’s pizza boxes. What are your favorite pepper(s)?

As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
