Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.
Tonight’s (on) topic: Bucks Gaming
The Milwaukee Bucks add an eSports team to their roster. Yes, the gamers will be paid, housed and coddled like pros https://t.co/Cv1MaLCIFK via @journalsentinel

The Bucks Gaming team, associated with the newly formed 2K League, made their selections in the 2K League draft today. It’s wild that we have gotten to the point in society that someone can make a living playing video games and getting drafted by Bucks Gaming has its perks.
As the article points out, the chosen few are on the franchise’s payroll, get living paid for at the high rise apartment downtown, and get that sweet, sweet Bucks swag.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Wes Edens was at the forefront of getting the 2K League going and getting the NBA interested in eSports.
The creation of the NBA gaming league was led by Bucks co-owner [Wes] Edens in an effort to tap the huge interest in the eSports industry, which is expected to be a $1.5 billion business by 2020.
Ah, looks like there was 1.5 billion reasons for Edens to lead the charge.
If you could go pro in a video game, which would it be? I have three that I would feel comfortable going pro in: NBA Jam on the SEGA Genesis, Mario Kart Double Dash on the GameCube, and Roller Coaster Tycoon for the PC.
Tonight’s (off) topic: The Masters Concessions Menu
Ah The Masters, one of the two golf tournaments I’ll actually watch. The coolest thing about the incredibly exclusive tournament? The cheap as heck concessions menu. Here is this year’s version (courtesy of Golf News Net):
Here is my personal menu attack plan if I were to be in attendance this weekend: grab a coffee, two blueberry muffins, and fresh fruit to start the day off right, for a pre-lunch snack I’ll take some peanuts and a water to keep my breakfast energy going, for lunch I am all over that grilled chicken wrap and I’ll start my drinking off with a domestic beer, my pre-dinner snack is going to be the Georgia Pecan caramel popcorn and another domestic beer, and finally for my dinner I’ll dig into some BBQ and an American Craft beer for a daily total expenditure of $29.00.
What are y’all getting?
As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
