Brew Hoop Night Shift: May 20th, 2018

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Tonight’s (on) topic: 2001 Eastern Conference Semi Finals Game Seven

17 years ago today (ugh) the Bucks won their last playoff series. The 104-95 victory over the Charlotte Hornets turned out to be the ceiling for the “Light It Up” Bucks before George Karl wielded his unchecked power. Shout out Glenn Robinson for his buzzer beating three to end the third quarter and lift the Bucks’ momentum going into the fourth.

Love that grainy footage. Speaking of which... (also, I spy new lead assistant coach, Darvin Ham)

Tonight’s (off) topic: How Much Salt?

I write this after consuming a dinner consisting of cinnamon oatmeal with strawberries covered in Nutella. It sounds delicious and for all intents and purposes it should have been a delicious dinner (or brinner). I screwed up massively, however. As I tuned on the stove to bring the water to boil, I added salt to the pot like I would do if I was making pasta. I was on dinner making autopilot and my first bite of what should have been a spoonful of yum, turned out to be...salty. Like the, “yikes this is not totally inedible, but this does not taste good so it may as well be inedible,” kind of salty. Oh well. Any meals ruined by too much?
