Brew Hoop Night Shift: May 21st, 2018

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Tonight’s (on) topic: EuroLeague Finale

Real Madrid took down Fenerbahce (sound it out) in the EuroLeague final yesterday. For you soccer fans, this is the basketball equivalent to the Champions League that will be airing its final on Saturday and features Real Madrid and Liverpool.

With the win, Real Madrid Baloncesto take home their tenth European title and did it with one of the most intriguing basketball prospects on its roster. Luka Doncic is not a mystery to anyone anymore and the accomplishments listed in the tweet above are seriously impressive.

The 19 year old will come over to the NBA with a more decorated European career than Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kristaps Porzingis, and Ricky Rubio combined. Whether or not Doncic goes on to capitalize on his hype like Porzingis, or fizzle out on it like Rubio, is anybody’s guess. It is hard to argue (although those arguments are being made) that Doncic is not the best player available in this summer’s draft.

Tonight’s (off) topic:

Some more draft fun for you all tonight, but this time we are going with high schoolers drafted in the first round. I posted a 19/31 score.
