Brew Hoop Night Shift: May 24th, 2018

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Tonight’s (on) topic: All-NBA Teams

Whoa, hello Damian Lillard.

In the battle for the forward spot not going to LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo lost out to Kevin Durant. Giannis being named to the second team is a huge accomplishment, obviously, but man it would have sweet if he could have found himself on that first team.

The Central Division having three wing/forwards represented on these three teams is incredible. The aggregated star power makes the Bucks’ match-ups against the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers that much more fun.

The exclusion of Boston Celtics teammates, Al Horford and Kyrie Irving, feels like a big time injustice to me, but I guess this can just fuel the narrative that the Celtics are scrappy and underdogs.

Tonight’s (off) topic:

The WNBA season has kicked off, so here is a slightly outdated quiz on which 12 teams make up the league. It is slightly outdated because the Las Vegas Aces are a new franchise after relocating this past winter.

Brew Hoop has partnered up with BreakingT to design and distribute licensed moment-driven shirts as they happen. Check out this link for the latest items!

As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
