Brew Hoop Night Shift: May 5th, 2018

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Tonight’s (on) topic: NBA Playoffs

The Boston Celtics have gone up 3-0 on the Philadelphia 76ers after Al Horford got the go-ahead bucket and game clinching steal. That out-of-bounds play that Brad Stevens drew up for Horford was a thing of beauty. The Celtics are scary.

Almost as surprising as the Celtics being on the verge of a sweep, is that the Toronto Raptors have relinquished home-court advantage and might not have to force LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers through customs again. LeBron has been an absolute treat to watch carve up the Raptors and to see how horrible of a match-up the Cavaliers are for the Raptors.

Watching the New Orleans Pelicans avoid a sweep and take a game from the Golden State Warriors was great to see as I have hopped onto the Pelicans bandwagon now that the Bucks are out. Watching the Houston Rockets blast off on the Utah Jazz was a sight to see and I have a feeling the Rockets will close that series out in five.

Tonight’s (off) topic:

Here’s a fun little chain game quiz that isn’t too difficult to navigate through, but certainly conjures up some rough memories for Bucks fans, which might actually make the quiz difficult as your vision gets a little teary.
