Brew Hoop Night Shift: June 12th, 2018

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Tonight’s (on) topic:

Former-Toronto Raptors’ lead assistant, Nick Nurse, has been bumped up the organizational hierarchy and will now assume duties as the Raptors’ head coach. This news comes on the heels of former-Raptors’ head honcho, Dwane Casey, being named the new Detroit Pistons head coach for five(!) years. Unlike Toronto, Detroit does not have a General Manager or President of Basketball Operations, so it appears that whoever the Pistons hire to helm the front office will have to be okay with Casey as the coach for five years.

With these two moves I feel like Toronto will be better, maybe not record-wise, but at least not obviously out coached-wise. Detroit probably will be better as well, but that roster is a real Frankenstein’s monster, so we’ll see. I think the Pistons are going to be battling for that eight seed for the next few years.

Tonight’s (off) topic:

I am not one of those one million Wisconsinites that former University of Wisconsin Badgers and Sheboygan kid, Sam Dekker, is talking about. IPAs are good in my book, especially if you want to add some orange juice to make a beermosa. Really, the only bad beer is one that is room temperature, and even then...
