Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.
Tonight’s (on) topic: Kawhi Leonard
ESPN Sources: All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard desires a trade from San Antonio. https://t.co/GfjG81q4N1— Chris Haynes (@ChrisBHaynes) June 15, 2018
An All-Star wanting to be traded away from his current team? The off-season is officially here, folks.
Leonard’s preferred destination is to land with the Los Angeles Lakers, which makes sense since he grew up in Southern California and watched the Kobe Bryant-era in its entirety:
San Antonio’s Kawhi Leonard has Los Angeles — preferably the Lakers — at the center of his preferences for a trade destination, league sources tell ESPN.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) June 15, 2018
Obviously teams other than the Lakers are in on Kawhi, but with Leonard having just one year left on his current deal, he has a bit of leverage on where he can be traded to:
Sources: So far, Leonard has expressed nothing directly to Spurs about future. Lakers and Clippers interest Leonard -- and both teams would move quickly to assemble packages to acquire Leonard. Spurs won't rush. Leonard and his camp had shown interest in $219M super max deal.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) June 15, 2018
The Boston Celtics, and their horde of assets, are also rumored to be interested in Leonard’s services.
Fire up the trade machines everybody.
Tonight’s (off) topic: Sunscreen
With this weekend supposed to touch 90+ degrees in Milwaukee, the sunscreen will be out in full force as our pasty skin begins to fry. Luckily, I inherited my dad’s somewhat olive natural skin tone, so I only have to rock a SPF 30 sunblock and even then I only get kind of burnt once a summer before it turns into a tan. I feel bad for those that get burnt from standing under fluorescent lighting for too long.
What kind of SPF do y’all use?
As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
