Brew Hoop Night Shift: June 26th, 2018

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Tonight’s (on) topic:

Big promotion for Josh Longstaff as he heads up from the G-League to fill-in the vacancy left by Sean Sweeney. Longstaff started as an assistant with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2010 and moved to the New York Knicks in 2014. At the start of last season, Longstaff was at the helm of the Atlanta Hawks’ G-League team, the Erie Bayhawks, and worked with Mike Budenholzer on player development.

If Sweeney’s coaching cache was built around player development, then the Bucks and Budenholzer have replaced him with a coach that has player development characteristics in spades.

It is encouraging that Bud was able to bring another one of “his guys” with him to Milwaukee. The Jason Kidd stank is completely gone, hallelujah.

Tonight’s (off) topic:

In the time it took for Rashad Vaughn to play out his time in a Milwaukee Bucks uniform from start to finish, the city has finally completed the massive freeway interchange. The city is also wrapping up construction on the 94 and 794 interchange just in time for Summerfest. With construction having started recently on the 94 by Racine, that stretch of road has to be the most continuously worked on stretch of road in probably the entire world.

Brew Hoop has partnered up with BreakingT to design and distribute licensed moment-driven shirts as they happen. Check out this link for the latest items!

As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
