Brew Hoop Night Shift: June 8th, 2018

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Tonight’s (on) topic: WESC Update

We are a couple months away from the yet-to-be-named-arena from opening. Concessions, security, and administrative departments are moving into the new place now that the Bucks have their certificate of occupancy. The word around the twitter-sphere from folks who have toured the nearly-completed arena is that the seats will have...

...cup holders!

I feel like getting cup holders in 2018 is the equivalent of getting caller ID in 2018. Something that everyone else has had for decades, but you just finally got around to getting.

Tonight’s (off) topic: Stanley Cup

The Washington Capitals knocked off the Vegas Golden Knights in five games to secure their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. The Washington win also secured that the Milwaukee Bucks will still be able to claim the title of “Least Number of Seasons to Win a Championship.” Wordiness aside, the Bucks needed just three seasons to win their first championship, so they will need the expansion Golden Knights to go two more season without lifting the Cup.

As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
