Brew Hoop Night Shift: July 11th, 2018

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Tonight’s (on) topic: Bud on Woj Pod

New head coach Mike Budenholzer made his podcast debut today (he refused to return our calls to get him onto ours) on Woj’s Pod and as you can see above, they covered a lot.

Bud had obvious glowing praise for Giannis Antetokounmpo and even called out Khris Middleton, Malcolm Brogdon, Thon Maker, Tony Snell, and Eric Bledsoe as guys he feels can become lead contributors this upcoming season.

One of the more interesting questions asked was identifying where the Atlanta Hawks went sour under Bud and he pin pointed that it was when Al Horford left to sign with the Boston Celtics and was replaced with Dwight Howard.

Give it a listen if you have not had the chance to yet! It is extremely refreshing to have a head coach that can converse and show humility like a normal human being.

Tonight’s (off) topic: World Cup Final is Set

France knocked off Belgium 1-0 on Tuesday.

Croatia eliminated England 2-1 today.

Who ya got in the final on Sunday? The French and their wine, or the Croatians and their, um, their (quickly Google’s Croatia exports) transportation equipment?

I’ll be pulling for Croatia since they have never won a World Cup.
