Brew Hoop Night Shift: July 27th, 2018

Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Tonight’s (on) topic:

Khris Middleton is away at camp this summer. The camp is not in some wooded area, but in the neon of Las Vegas. Middleton is one of several dozen NBA players that were invited to the mini camp. Ultimately, the goal of the camp is to help the powers that be in USA Basketball to whittle down a roster for next year’s FIBA World Cup and the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Does Middleton have a shot? Eh, maybe?

What say you?

Tonight’s (off) topic: Chess

Chess rules. My grandpa taught me how to play it as a kid and my dad used to be a chess coach at the high school he taught at. My greatest accomplishment in chess was when I was a kid and was beating my dad (he was letting me win), but I made several boneheaded moves and he just won by default. My go to move when losing in board games was (still is) to flip the board over and throw a temper tantrum, however that match was the first instance where I was temper tantrum free. Chess helped mature me, albeit it slightly.

Any chess fans out there?!
