Welcome to the Brew Hoop Night Shift. Every evening at 9:00pm (central time), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.
Tonight’s (on) topic:
Introducing The Milwaukee Bucks Art Collection At @FiservForum » https://t.co/unGohhznkG pic.twitter.com/JFkhOf29Qj
— Milwaukee Bucks (@Bucks) August 24, 2018
Fiserv Forum opens this Sunday(!) and the walls are filled with some fantastic art work. There are 79 original works of art and 43 photographs from 32 artists, 22 of which are either Milwaukee residents or in the area.
I had a chuckle at the piece showcasing the Third Ward (shout-out to my neighborhood) that included the yet-to-be-operational streetcar; it feels like I have been driving on those tracks forever.
Recreating old basketball cards through paintings is such a good look and might be my favorite non-streetcar related piece.
Which of the featured pieces were your favorite?
Tonight’s (off) topic: College Football
A couple of FBS college football games kick off tomorrow which means tailgating and Saturdays full of football are back. The Wisconsin Badgers clocked in at #4 in the pre-seasons polls and should make it back to the B1G Championship Game.
BUT!
They will stumble at Kinnick Stadium and go down to the Iowa Hawkeyes for their only loss of the season. You heard it hear first, folks.
The Minnesota Golden Gophers will also fail to win a game all season.
Brew Hoop has partnered up with BreakingT to design and distribute licensed moment-driven shirts as they happen. Check out this link for the latest items!
As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
