All-Time Tournament: Day 15

The Semifinals are upon us with all four teams representing four different decades. Let’s take a look at the bracket:

Game 47

On the heels of three consecutive upsets, including back-to-back victories over early 70s teams, the 2017/18 Bucks had another early 70s obstacle in front of them, but were the 1970/71 Bucks able to return to a championship round?

With ease. A wire-to-wire victory sees the champions through to the Finals. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar posted an emphatic 31 point and 22 rebound stat line as he dominated the game from start to finish. Jon McGlocklin provided steady secondary scoring with 20 points on 9/16 shooting from the floor. Giannis Antetokounmpo gave it his all (15 points and 11 rebounds) but the Cinderella run has finally come to an end.

Game 48

The “Light it Up” 2000/01 Bucks rode their hot hands all the way to the Semifinals, but were they able to keep it up against the steady offensive attack from the 1985/86 Bucks?

Holy cold shooting Batman! A horrific nine-point fourth quarter squandered any chance at a comeback for the 00/01 Bucks. Sidney Moncrief and Terry Cummings continued to be the dynamic duo of the tournament as they both crossed the 20-point threshold with 22 and 20 points respectively. The 00/01 Bucks shot a putrid 32 percent from the field, while the 85/86 Bucks connected on 52 percent of their shots.

So now that we know the Championship match-up, let’s see which team y’all feel will take home the crown:
