In a rainy 90’s Night at Fiserv Forum, the Bucks surged to a 140-128 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Defense was missing for a majority of the night. Both teams were cruising through the first half, as the Wolves clung to a 70-69 lead at the break. The porous defense would continue for Milwaukee, as they’d head to the final quarter of play down 109-107.
But these are the Milwaukee Bucks. This is the best team in the NBA. They’re not going to hunker down and surrender. Instead, they’re going to attack, attack, and attack. A 16-2 run in the fourth quarter would catapult Milwaukee in front and provided a lead that they wouldn’t relent. When the dust settled, the Bucks would earn their 45th victory of the season with a 140-128 win.
Stat That Stood Out
Defense was definitely lacking tonight, and I predict that Bud isn’t going to be too happy in his postgame presser. Coming into tonight, the Bucks have shot better than their opponent 44 times. However, despite the porous defense at times, the Bucks would end up having a higher percentage than Minnesota (52.7% to 48% — forgive me if that’s not correct, trying to get downstairs ASAP). It’s pretty wild that the Bucks can play as poorly as they did in the first half, then cruise to a 12 point win.
