Rapid Recap: Bucks 148, Wizards 129

Milwaukee hangs a season-high 148 points on Washington

NBA: Washington Wizards at Milwaukee Bucks Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

On the night prior to what’s expected to be a chaotic NBA trade deadline, the Milwaukee Bucks trounced the Washington Wizards, 148-129.

Holy schnikes. What an outburst from the Bucks tonight. In just the first quarter alone, they’d put up 50 points. They’d follow that up by wrapping up the half with 35 more points, heading into the locker room up 85-65.

There’d be some hiccups in the second half, as Milwaukee seemed to be caught sleepwalking on multiple occasions. Thankfully, the Bucks have this fella named Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is quite good at the game of basketball. He’d end up leading the Bucks with 43 points.

Stat That Stood Out

Let’s go with Ersan! It was a bounce back game for him, finishing on 4-of-4 shooting for 12 points, six of which came from beyond the arc. After his one-handed slam early on to start his night off, I mentioned to Kane Pitman (@mkebucksaus on Twitter) that I had a feeling that’d propel him back on the radar. It was well-needed, as we all know how much he’s been struggling. Fingers crossed that this is what the doctor ordered and he can use tonight’s performance to keep putting up positive numbers and get back on track.
