Rapid Recap: Magic 103, Bucks 83

Milwaukee’s ice-cold 3-point shooting helps Orlando escape with win

NBA: Orlando Magic at Milwaukee Bucks Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

In a lackadaisical performance at Fiserv Forum, the Bucks were unable to get the job done and fell to the visiting Orlando Magic, 103-83.

For those who had this slated as a pretty boring contest coming into it due to Giannis being out, you’d be correct. It turns out that poor shooting + the Greek Freak being absent does not equate a pretty situation. A double-digit deficit would be applied to the Bucks at halftime, and things would continue treading south in the third quarter.

Eric Bledose would lead the way for the Bucks with a 19 point performance, strung together with 11 boards and five assists.

For the Magic, Jonathan Isaac finished with 17 points.

Stat That Stood Out

You have to go with the 3-point shooting. Milwaukee couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn with any of their shots this evening. Outside of Bledsoe, nobody was producing anything from deep. When it was all said and done, they’d register just 17.1 percent from beyond the arc (6-of-35). There are lots that could be taken away from this, but I’m filing this under the “it’s basketball” category. Sometimes, things don’t go your way. That’s what happened tonight. It was a back-to-back and Milwaukee couldn’t find their shot. That happens in the NBA. No big deal. Shake it off and move onto the next one.
