Editor’s Note: This episode was recorded before San Antonio laid waste to Milwaukee’s midrange defense on Sunday night.
We were a man down, but much like Donte DiVincenzo’s heel, we fought through for the good of the pod. On this week’s episode of the Brew Hoop Podcast, Kyle and Riley begin by talking about the week that was by lamenting the baffling loss to the Phoenix Suns and evaluate whether some new looks against the Pacers and Hornets are a portent of things to come.
The discussion then moves to long-anticipated return of “Donte’s Inferno”. Everyone knows that Donte is adept at “doing basketball stuff”, but did we see it reach a new level in his latest minutes? Of course, when you chop it up about Donte you’re bound to zoom out and consider the rotation implications of additional reinforcement on the wing. It’s unclear which direction coach Budenholzer will go with his minutes with DDV back in the fold, but we do our best to read the tea leaves.
Finally, the playoffs are just 15 games away, so what better time than now to start thinking about match-ups, the playoff bracket in general, and watch as Riley completely forgets a number of teams that are in the East’s postseason picture.
