The Milwaukee Bucks won their 57th game of the season tonight with a 128-118 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Clippers at the Fiserv Forum.
Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 34 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in 32 minutes. He tweaked his ankle with the Bucks up big midway through the fourth, and did not return. Luckily, Khris Middleton did not hit the rim all night. He dropped 39 points on 16-of-25 shooting. Absolutely scorching hot. Milwaukee hit 52.3 percent of their shots and 43.2 percent of their three-pointers.
As for the Clippers, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 21 points to lead the visitors. Danilo Gallinari added 14, and three players off the Los Angeles bench dropped 10+ points. The Clips hit 45.7 percent of their shots.
Stat that stood out
It sounds simple, but the fact that Giannis and Khris could combine for 73 tonight is a fabulous sign. It’s not often Middleton has a breakout night the same evening Giannis puts up a monster stat line. Bodes well for the playoffs.
