The Brew Hoop Podcast Episode 19: Eric Bledsoe Gets Paid and Pau Join the Fray

We convene to break down the Bucks’ big contract news

NBA: Milwaukee Bucks at Sacramento Kings Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Another week, another Brew Hoop podcast coming your way directly into your preferred pod app. There was plenty to chew over on this episode, with the mammoth news that the Milwaukee Bucks officially locked Eric Bledsoe into a 4-year, $70 million dollar contract. That discussion makes up the majority of this episode, as we touch on how the deal looks from both sides, whether him taking an early deal could help set the market for the rest of Milwaukee’s free agents and how it affects the Bucks’ ability to retain their other pieces in July.

Afterward, we touch on the Pau Gasol signing following his buyout from the San Antonio Spurs. It felt curious at the time that he was looking for a presumed larger role when there doesn’t seem to be much room within the Bucks’ rotation, but I guess championship experience is undefeated? Finally, we touch on the week that was during the Bucks’ lengthy road trip and preview the games ahead.

On the audio front, I want to apologize in advance for what I think is some slight mic buzzing on my end. This doesn’t register in my earbuds during the recording, but has popped up before when I go to edit the thing. I’m not a perfectionist with audio fidelity, but I am a little fussy about it, so again, sorry if you hear anything annoying in there. I’m working on rectifying it to ease your listening experience. As always, we so appreciate the listen and feedback you folks are giving us. Let us know if there’s something you’d like to see now that we’ve switched to a bit more frequency on the feed as well. We’re here to serve your loyal ears. Cheers.
