Another three games on tap for the evening

Thanks to suggestions from you, our loyal readers, we make sure to give the people what they want! Without further ado, the official Brew Hoop Playoff thread is here. On the Bucks off-nights, we’ll create a spot to stir the discussion stew surrounding how other teams are faring in their own fight for a title. Tonight, three games are on tap:

Brooklyn Nets vs. Philadelphia 76ers (Series tied 1-1)

Time: 7:00 pm (TNT)

The stakes: Despite the panic that spread throughout Philadelphia following a game one loss, they pulled it together in the second contest behind an aggressive triple-double from Ben Simmons. Their talent is undeniable, but whether they’re all clicking simultaneously is another question. The Nets home crowd will hopefully be a little feisty, they’ve been waiting awhile for another Playoff game.

Denver Nuggets vs. San Antonio Spurs (Series tied 1-1)

Time: 8:00 pm (NBATV)

The stakes: After San Antonio took another commanding lead, Jamal Murray came riding in to Denver’s rescue with an 8-8 shooting performance in the final quarter. Without it, Denver’s season looked like it could be toast. San Antonio will try to take advantage of its home crowd to re-take control of the series lead.

Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Clippers (Series tied 1-1)

Time: 9:30pm (TNT)

The stakes: The Clippers completed the largest comeback in NBA playoff history. There is lots of chatter about whether that signals the Warriors are vulnerable. I am not buying into that narrative that much, but it sure is fun to see the upstart Clippers give the Warriors a decent shot across the bow. Let’s hope it’s another competitive one in game three.
