Thanks to suggestions from you, our loyal readers, we make sure to give the people what they want! Without further ado, the official Brew Hoop Playoff thread is here. On the Bucks off-nights, we’ll create a spot to stir the discussion stew surrounding how other teams are faring in their own fight for a title. Tonight, three games are on tap:
Toronto Raptors vs. Orlando Magic (Series tied 1-1)
Time: 6:00 pm (ESPN)
The stakes: Unsurprisingly, the Raptors came back from their surprise loss in game one and absolutely leveled the Magic by nearly 30 points. Kawhi was a demon of efficiency from the floor and the Magic had no answers for him. They need everyone to be operating at their highest level if they have any hope of pulling off another victory against this Toronto squad, but they should just be aiming for at least a split back at home. Their fans should be hungry after the Magic’s playoff drought.
Boston Celtics vs. Indiana Pacers (BOS leads 2-0)
Time: 7:30 pm (ABC)
The stakes: The series most pertinent to Bucks fans, Boston wrestled away a victory from Indiana in the TD Garden with some late game clutch shooting coupled with a horrendous collapse by the Pacers. Their fourth quarter offense once again turned to dust. They just don’t have the horses to stick with Boston, but it’s encouraging it took herculean efforts by the Celts just to knock off the Pacers on their home court. We’ll have a better measure of where this one will likely go after this game back in Pacers territory.
Portland Trailblazers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (POR leads 2-0)
Time: 8:30pm (ESPN)
The stakes: The Blazers have grappled control of this series as Paul George seems to continue to not look like himself with a shoulder injury. The Thunder need a win tonight if they have any hope of hanging in this series and giving either San Antonio or Denver a tough series come round two.
