Brew Hoop Night Shift: January 23rd

Look at me I’m (still) the captain now

Every evening at 8:00pm (which ever time zone Kyle is feeling), this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.

Tonight’s (On) Topic: Captain Giannis

The All-Star voting concluded and once again our own Giannis Antetokounmpo is captain for the Eastern Conference. LeBron James is the Western Conference captain giving us a repeat of last year. Also joining Giannis in the East starters were Atlanta’s Trae Young, Boston’s Kemba Walker, Toronto’s Pascal Siakam, and Philadlephia’s Joel Embiid. Trae Young has had a good year but it was still surprising to see him get the nod; this might be because Jimmy Butler was considered a frontcourt player. For the West the starters joining LeBron are Luka Doncic, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard and his teammate Anthony Davis. It’ll be interesting to see who gets selected first for Giannis since LeBron will likely choose Davis. My money is on Luka.

Tonight’s (Off) Topic: Euro trips

With Milwaukee off in Paris, this is their second trip abroad playing in London back in 2015. I have visited a few european countries which include Ireland, England, Portugal and Spain. I know we have a few readers outside the U.S. but I’m curious what European country would you want to visit? For me, Germany and Holland would be high on my list.
