All-Star Weekend Open Thread

It all tips off tonight with Marc Lasry’s illustrious Celebrity Game performance

NBA: All-Star Celebrity Game Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

There’s something for Milwaukee Bucks fans during every night of this NBA All-Star Weekend. We are blessed to be able to enjoy a team that’s running away with the best regular season record, and nearly has participants in every facet of the upcoming festivities; all that’s missing is the 3-point contest and the Rising Stars Game. For those of us in the #DonteGotSnubbed squad, we could sit and stew, but I’ll prefer to try and enjoy what we’ve been given instead. Here’s the lineup for Friday and Saturday, we’ll start up a new thread exclusively for the game itself on Sunday.

Friday, February 14

All-Star Celebrity Game Presented by Ruffles (6 PM CST)

Bucks Affiliation: Marc Lasry

A member of Team Stephen A. Smith, Lasry is making his fifth appearance in the Celebrity Game already. That’s pretty staggering for anyone to want to put themselves through this event that many times, but the fact it’s a billionaire who does so is that much sweeter. Good on you Marc. Maybe one day he’ll take home the MVP.

Saturday, February 15

State Farm All-Star Saturday Night (7 PM CST)

Bucks Affiliations: Khris Middleton, Pat Connaughton

First up, we’ve got Khris Middleton who has opted to participate in the skills competition. We can only hope that it goes better than last year’s performance in the 3-point shootout.

Then, Pat Connaughton goes up against Aaron Gordon, Derrick Jones Jr. and Dwight Howard in the dunk contest. We can only hope it goes better than Giannis’ performance several years ago.

Happy commenting everyone, and have a wonderful Valentine’s Day/All-Star Weekend.
