The Milwaukee Bucks stayed deadly quiet at Thursday’s trade deadline and the team seemed more than satisfied standing pat with the roster they had.
For about 24 hours, that is. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, recently bought out forward Marvin Williams is set to join the Bucks after hitting the market:
Forward Marvin Williams is planning to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks after contract buyout from Charlotte, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

Williams, age 33, has seen his role taper off this season with Charlotte having started one game and appeared in 41 games total while averaging 19.7 MPG. He’s a career .362 shooter from distance and has hit at around .376 this season (with a 3PAr of .557).
He’s an intriguing pick-up for Milwaukee, adding much-needed useful depth to the forward rotation. It’s unclear as of publishing who is getting the ax for Milwaukee to clear room, so we’ll update once we have the info.
