All week long, we’ve been playing along with SB Nation’s “Best Teams to Never Win a Championship” series, highlighting several of the top contenders picked for the Milwaukee Bucks franchise. Now, the time has come to pick a contender from our beloved team to put forth into the final tournament against the rest of the league’s “Best Teams to Never Win.”
If you want to look back and see the prior teams celebrated this week, you can check out our pieces below:
In these times, it’s been a nice reprieve to have some semblance of basketball to talk about. But, what we need to do now good people, is vote on which of these teams you believe can take down the rest of the league’s most sterling squads that fell short. We’re not worried about Charlotte here people, we’ve got the 90’s Jazz, the early run of Jerry West’s Lakers, Barkley’s Suns, the list goes on.
This year’s Bucks team was not eligible for this contest, and the uncertainty surrounding if this season will ultimately play out remains a distressing part of my life. We don’t have control over the fact we aren’t watching Bud excoriate Eric Bledsoe for a pull-up jumper while Milwaukee is up 35 in the fourth over Brooklyn in a close-out game. What we do have control over is picking the best Bucks team to epitomize what we’ve all become acquainted with as diehard fans: disappointment.
Don’t let these other franchises share some sob story about what could’ve been for them. We’ve been professionals at that for more than 40 years now. We have a chance to win SOMETHING this year, and it’s up to all of us to pick the strongest contender to show up all these other fan sites. Falling bitterly short is our block. Let’s protect it people.
We’ll have voting open until noon, April 18, to see who emerges as the best Bucks team to never win a championship among our contenders.
What was the best Bucks team to never win a championship?
