Every evening at 8:00 pm central, this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.
Today’s (On) Topic: player testing!
I’ll actually back them on this, I was thinking about it last night. Having that test done multiple times in day/few days sounds AWFUL— Hardwood Paroxysm (@HPbasketball) May 23, 2020
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported some results of a league-issued survey to GMs, and one of the tidbits that was mentioned by Seth Partnow and Matt Moore above was the topic of testing, should the league gather players in a quarantined location for the resumption of play. Obviously, testing is a critical component of success (whatever that looks like), and the effectiveness and scalability of said testing should be the number one priority. At a certain point, though, the idea of multiple daily nasal swabs (and they’re deep) does sound pretty rough.
Today’s (Off) Topic: quarantine fitness!
Sheltering in place is far from glamorous, and I know that I’ve gotten a bit too comfortable. This past week, I’ve gotten to the point where I’m unhappy with my current level of physical fitness and I’m willing to do something about it. I’m not a member of the Milwaukee Bucks (surprise!), and I don’t have access to a home gym, so my solution was to start (gulp) jogging. Like, running outside. I hate it so much.
What’re you all doing to stay in shape during all of this? Is it worth it to even worry about?
As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
