Giannis’ Twitter Account Apparently Hacked...and Crudely

Strong passwords are important.

Apparently, at least one person hasn’t dealt well with the lack of Giannis getting hacked. And if they couldn’t have it on the court, they found a way to make it happen on social media.

Yes, Giannis Antetokounmpo had his Twitter account hacked today. You can probably go find the specific posts somewhere else, you won’t find them here. You certainly won’t find plugs for some Instagram feed or Discord server on Brew Hoop, either.

Obviously, the extreme content of the posts (which aren’t taken down yet, but they assuredly will be) are a strong sign that Giannis had exactly nothing to do with the tweets. We won’t be sharing them here, and we strongly advocate against sharing them anywhere, since the attention they’re being already paid is more than is deserved.

Instead, make sure you have strong passwords (passphrases are better), use two-step verification and two-factor authentication (if possible), and if you every toy around with the idea of hacking someone else’s account...just don’t.

UPDATE: Giannis released a statement (via his girlfriend and his younger brother), as did the Milwaukee Bucks:
