Milwaukee will look to rebound after losing their last two games this week with a home matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. Both teams bring dynamic scorers in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Trae Young.
Where We’re At
The Bucks have beaten the bad teams but struggled against the good teams. Wins against the Bulls, and Pistons get countered with losses to the Celtics and Nets. The Bucks still have one of the highest rated offenses in the league thanks to their big 3 of Giannis, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday. However the Bucks haven’t gotten much contribution from their bench the last few games. In the Lakers game, Milwaukee only contributed 16 points and 19 points against the Nets.
For the Hawks, they have weathered a few injuries and are currently on a three-game winning streak. Trae Young is still scoring and assisting at a high rate averaging 25.3 points and 8.7 assists. He hasn’t shot the ball as well as you would think, only shooting 34.4% from three.
In terms of injuries, Milwaukee still has a clean bill of health but the Hawks have Trae Young (back spasms) and De’Andre Hunter (right knee soreness) as questionable while Kris Dunn and some guy named Bogdan are out.
Player to Watch
Out of the Bucks bench players that haven’t contributed, DJ Augustin has been the worst of the bunch. An 0-7 shooting performance against the Nets then a 2-5 shooting and three assist showing against the Lakers is concerning for the guard we thought could be needed for a bench lineup.
