Banged up, undersized, nonplussed: Your Milwaukee Bucks.
With Bobby Portis returning to the injury list and Jrue Holiday/Brook Lopez both ruled no-gos for tonight’s game and tomorrow’s against the Jazz, the Bucks get to continue their wild ride of the injury train. Thus far they’ve weathered it without incurring further damage, but it does make gelling consistent rotations and lineups a bit of a challenge. Knowing my luck, Mike Budenholzer will plug Semi Ojeleye into the starting lineup tonight just to keep my preview graphics on their toes.
The good news is the Bucks have already gotten one over the San Antonio Spurs at less-than-full strength. Their 121-111 victory on the road looks less impressive with the Spurs 1-4 record, but they’re still the Spurs. A tough win in a place where visiting teams rarely walk away victorious is nothing to sneeze at. Can they repeat the trick tonight in friendly territory?
Jrue, Brook, Bobby, and Donte DiVincenzo are all out for Milwaukee. Doug McDermott and Zach Collins are out for San Antonio.
