On occasional evenings at 8:00 pm central, this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.
Tonight’s (On) Topic: Grayson Allen is going to be very good for the Milwaukee Bucks this season.
Add in that they acquired him for essentially nothing, it won’t take long for Bucks fans to see how valuable he is to this team. We saw a glimpse of what he can contribute in Milwaukee’s first preseason game as he added 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting in 17 minutes. He’s a career 38.1% three-point shooter and as we know, is more than capable on the defensive end. He handled the ball a bit more last season in Memphis, so don’t be shocked if the Bucks ask him to facilitate a bit at certain points during the season. He is a guy you love to have on your team, but hate to play against.
Tonight’s (Off) Topic: Former NBA players in hot water!
A report surfaced that multiple former NBA players were arrested and charged for allegedly taking advantage of the NBA’s Health and Welfare Benefit Plan. Details are sparse at the moment, but I have my popcorn ready just in case we get some more information in the coming days. The early return is not great for those 18 players, though!
BREAKING: 18 former NBA players have been arrested and charged federally for defrauding the NBA’s Health and Welfare Benefit Plan out of approximately $4,000,000, law enforcement officials say.
