The winning streak continues for the Milwaukee Bucks, as they were able to knock off the New Orleans Pelicans by a score of 129-125.
It’d be an energetic first half, mainly due to hot shooting from the Bucks and the stellar play from Zion Williamson. The energetic talent exploded for 24 points in the opening half, with numerous highlight plays. However, it was the Bucks who held the slim advantage after one half of play, taking a 69-68 advantage into the locker room.
The Bucks would mitigate Zion Williamson in the third quarter, holding him to just four points in the period after he exploded for 24 in the first half. Moving into the third quarter, both teams were even at 103 apiece.
It’d remain extremely close throughout the final period, but despite some frustration, the Bucks were able to pull away and put the stamp on a relieving 129-125 victory.
Stat That Stood Out
What a game from the Big Ragu. It was his first time scoring 20+ points in an NBA game, and he etched out a new career-high in 24 points. In a game where the Bucks were without DJ Augustin due to the birth of his new baby girl, the Bucks were in desperate need for somebody to step up — and DiVincenzo did exactly that. It wasn’t just on the offensive side of the basketball, either. In the dying embers of the game when the Pelicans had a chance to tie things up, DiVincenzo earned an absolutely massive charge, effectively securing the victory for Milwaukee. An absolutely unreal performance for the Villanova product.
