NBA: New York Knicks at Milwaukee Bucks Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

In a game that did not feature four of their typical five starters, the Milwaukee Bucks fell to the New York Knicks, 102-96.

NBA.com Box Score

The unique starting lineup in this one kept things relatively close after one. Paced by six points from Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee trailed the Knicks 32-25 after one.

Jordan Nwora and Thanasis Antetokounmpo would keep Milwaukee in this one as the second quarter progressed. At halftime, the Bucks trailed by just several points, 57-54.

Though the Bucks captured the lead midway through the third, they’d be unable to hold it throughout the quarter. Moving into the fourth, the Knicks boasted a slim 81-77 lead.

It’d remain tied until the waning seconds, but an Alec Burks three would eventually sink the Bucks. New York would then escape Fiserv Forum with a 102-96 victory.

Stat That Stood Out

I gotta go with Thanasis here. Inserted as one of the starters in this bizarre game, he truly stepped up to the plate. He’d finish his night with 23 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Not included in that stat line is the 110% energy that he always exhibits and once again put on display tonight. Really fantastic to see. His confidence and energy continues to be unmatched.
