On occasional evenings at 8:00 pm central, this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.
Tonight’s (On) Topic: Summer League!!
Thought you’d get a break from celebrating the Milwaukee Bucks winning an NBA title?! WRONG! Our good friend Kane Pitman tweeted out Milwaukee’s schedule for the Summer League that is slated to tipoff on August 9th...12 days from today. Seems unnecessary, but money makes the world (and the NBA) go ‘round.
Basketball doesn't stop. The Bucks Summer League schedule is here.— Kane Pitman (@KanePitman) July 28, 2021
Aug. 9 vs. LA Clippers, 8pm CT, ESPNU
Aug. 11 vs. Brooklyn, 3pm CT, ESPN2
Aug. 13 vs. Minnesota, 3pm CT, NBATV
Aug. 15 vs. Washington, 3pm CT, NBATV
Tonight’s (Off) Topic: College football on the horizon...
Born and raised in Los Angeles, my family had season tickets to UCLA football home games...I was so young that my parents had to hold me on their lap during games. Now, being a UCLA sports fan is pretty rough as I have seen decades of mediocrity unfold before my eyes and NFL/NBA talent go to waste. That being said, I will never stop rooting for my Bruins...no matter how many games they lose! I was at Josh Shipp’s buzzer beater over the backboard against California in 2008, and at UCLA’s monumental upset over the U$C Trojans in 2006 to knock them out of the NCAAF title game. What school do you rep and do you have any memorable stories from attending a sporting event?
As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
