Even without Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee jumped out to an early lead in the first, but the Hawks closed the gap to just four, 28-24, when the period ended. Despite seven turnovers in the second alone, the Bucks maintained a lead heading into half up 47-43. Khris Middleton erupted in the third period for 23 points as the Bucks opened up a sizable 91-72 advantage heading into the fourth. Atlanta staged a valiant comeback effort, but the Bucks held strong.

Stat that Stood Out

23 points in the third for Khris Middleton. That’s what blew this game wide open, and he finished with 32 overall in an effort that brought this team to a level they haven’t been in half a century.
