Every evening at 8:00 pm central, this all-purpose thread goes up, and the comments section is where it’s going down. What Bucks news did we not cover? What topics do you want to break down further? Or is there something non-Bucks that you want to bounce off of one another? Even something non-basketball? This is the place.
Tonight’s (On) Topic: ‘Giannis’ by Mirin Fader
I just picked up my copy from Barnes & Noble over the weekend...I am almost 60 pages in, and all I can say is, “WOW!” Now, I might be biased, but this is one amazing book. No, this is no paid advertisement, by the way! We all had a general picture of the Antetokounmpo family struggle, but the book takes a much deeper dive into them that’ll have you on the verge of tears. There are tons of spoilers on Twitter FYI, so be careful when scrolling through your timeline. You can tell how much time and effort was put into writing this, so I would 100% support Mirin and her awesome work by buying a copy. If you have started reading...sound off in the comments below and let everyone know what you think.
Tonight’s (Off...kinda on) Topic: Emotions after winning a championship.
I don’t know about all of you, but I can finally watch a Milwaukee Bucks game and relax for once. I mean, who in their lifetime would have thought that not only would we A) see the Bucks play for a title, but B) WIN THE DARN THING! I will still watch games closely, but it does feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. The thirst for more is still there, but the Bucks won a championship in the Giannis Antetokounmpo era. You can call me complacent all you want, but if this is the only title they win in my lifetime, I would still be just as happy. I know many people feel different about this, so I would love to hear your thoughts below!
As a general rule, non-basketball topics are permitted in an open thread, provided that they follow the SB Nation Community Guidelines.
